WARREN

Two men were set to be arraigned today in Warren Municipal Court on charges related to the Friday night robbery and gunfire at the BP service station on East Market Street.

John Daniel, 21, of Burton Street Southeast, is charged with aggravated robbery, felonious assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

De’Shawn L. Dorsey, 24, of Jefferson Street Southwest, is charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say Daniel was shot in the buttocks and was treated at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Daniel initially told police his injuries did not happen in Warren, but it was determined they did occur there, said Warren detective Nick Carney.

A second man, 33, of Vienna, received a superficial gunshot wound to the arm, and a girl, 15, was hit in the eyes with glass that resulted from the gunfire, police said.

The robbery and gunfire occurred at the gasoline pumps in the BP parking lot at 8 p.m.

Daniel is charged with aggravated robbery for getting into Dorsey’s car and leaving, Carney said, adding that surveillance video shows the incident.
