Poland skies will see 2 Marines helicopters

POLAND — Two U.S. Marine helicopters will fly in Wednesday morning to visit Poland Union Elementary School students. The pilots will land near the school about 11:30 a.m. Kindergarten through fourth-graders will be able to explore the helicopters and meet the Marines who fly them.

Students wrote letters thanking the Marines for their service and will wear red, white and blue in honor of the visit.

“This visit is creating a lifelong memory for these kids, it is not something they get to see every day,” Principal Mike Masucci said.
