KSU students present ideas for Warren's future Wednesday night
WARREN — Students from Kent State University’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design will present their ideas for imagining a new future for Warren and its residents during a showcase at the Wean Foundation offices, 147 W. Market St., at 6 p.m. Wednesday. All are welcome.
The students in the Architectural Studies and Master of Landscape Architecture programs are researching several sites in the city where design improvement projects could be undertaken and become a catalyst for change.
Among those sites are the Garden District just north of downtown, the neighborhood around AmVets Park on West Market Street and the downtown peninsula on West Market Street where Martin Chevrolet used to be.
The students’ work was made possible through a gift from Warren resident and KSU alumnus Cloyd Abruzzo, said Matt Martin, executive director of the nonprofit Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership, which is a partner with the KSU students and faculty.
