Free program focuses on senior health care

“Who Pays for Senior Health Care” will be the topic of a Lighting the Way program from 1 to 3:30 p.m. May 16 at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic Ave.

Information about costs associated with Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance matters will be presented. Representatives from Trumbull Mobile Meals, the 211 Help Line, veterans affairs and area nursing homes will attend. Light refreshments will be provided.

Lighting the Way is a free program designed to help senior citizens and their families cope with decisions associated with aging. The series will continue monthly through August with topics including legal matters, healthy aging, care giving and care beyond home. The series is coordinated by local church leaders, health care centers and social service agencies.
