ELECTION UPDATE | South Range school levy goes down

YOUNGSTOWN — For the third time, voters in the South Range School District have rejected an additional tax levy.

Also, Lauren McNally won the five-person Democratic primary for Youngstown's 5th Ward council seat. She will face challenges from independent candidates in the November general election.

With not all votes counted in Youngstowns's 1st Ward, Julius T. Oliver has a 12-vote lead over Mike Write.

In Struthers, Danny Thomas Jr. has a 50-vote lead over Ronald Carcelli in the city's Democratic mayoral primary, with most of the votes counted.
