REALTY

Keller Williams Chervenic Realty announced that Barbara Armour will join its real- estate ranks. Armour has 30 years in public service for the state of Ohio with 22 years serving in administration, and has been a licensed Realtor for two years.

Keller Williams Chervenic Realty associates also hosted a combined award and charity event with an auction to raise funds for KW Cares, the philanthropic arm of the organization, earning $1,528. The proceeds go to Keller Kids Cares, a new international initiative this year supporting educational opportunities for the children of KW associates. During the event, 48 agents were recognized at the luncheon, who closed more than $2 million during the year.

BANKING

The Home Savings and Loan Co. announced the hiring of Diana L. Hogg as vice president, commercial relationship manager serving the Mahoning Valley. Home Savings is a subsidiary of United Community Financial Corp.

Hogg brings with her more than 30 years of banking and sales experience, and was most recently employed as vice president market manager for Northeast Ohio Business Banking for a retail bank. She earned a degree in business administration from Westminster College.

COMMUNICATIONS

WhiteSpace Creative promoted associate creative director Eric Jacobs to creative director. Jacobs has been in the advertising industry for more than 20 years in different capacities and has serviced several major brands including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic, Sherwin-Williams and Target. He is a graduate of the University of Akron, and earned a fine-arts degree with honors in graphic design.

ROOFING

Simon Roofing anounced the recent hiring of Daniel Banna as regional accounts manager. Before joining Simon Roofing, Banna served as an accountant at Hill, Barth & King CPAs and Consultants. He has a degree in business administration from Youngstown State University.

RETAIL

Sheely’s Furniture & Appliance was honored as “Retailer of the Year” at the 20th annual Furniture Industry Awards Gala on April 20. Retailer of the Year is the highest honor given by sales representatives within the retail home-furnishings community. It recognizes retailers who have distinguished themselves through industry leadership, business achievement and service to their communities. Sheely’s is a member of Furniture First, the group recipient of the award. This year is the first in which multiple retailers united as a buying group were honored. Sheely’s has been a member of Furniture First since 2011.
