Cara Redmond, Brett Neely are engaged

James and Jodi Redmond of Greece, N.Y., and Mark and Lynn Neely of Campbell are announcing the engagement and upcoming nuptials of their children, Dr. Cara Marie Redmond of Greece and Brett T. Neely of Cleveland.

The couple will exchange vows at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Church of the Gesu in University Heights, Ohio. A reception will follow at the Cleveland Marriott East in Beachwood, Ohio. Invitations will be issued for both events.

The bride-elect earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from John Carroll University and a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine at Urbana-Champaign, Ill. She is a rotating intern at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services in Rochester, N.Y.

Mr. Neely also attended John Carroll and received a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is a senior lead underwriter at Great Lakes Financial Group in Cleveland.
