Warrant served in child porn case

A man who was the target of a child-pornography investigation was questioned by police and then released after the serving of a search warrant at his home Friday.
Youngstown police and agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation served the warrant at a home in the 200 block of Matta Avenue on the West Side, arriving shortly after 9 a.m. and staying for several hours.
Investigators could be seen walking around with computer equipment and checking some computers on the front porch of the home.
A spokesman for city police said a man and his wife were in the home when investigators arrived. The spokesman said the man was taken to the police station and given a polygraph examination before being released. The spokesman said the man was cooperative through the entire process.
The spokesman would not say what, if anything, was taken by investigators nor would he say what the results of the polygraph test were.
Evidence collected Friday will be given to prosecutors who will decide what charges, if any, will be filed and if charges are filed, they probably will be presented directly to a grand jury, the spokesman said.
A BCI spokesman at the home said the warrant was part of an investigation that stretches back more than six months.
As police were serving the warrant, a man and a woman a few doors down had a loud argument in their front yard, which caused some of the officers at the home to investigate. A cruiser was called to assist, and after the cruiser arrived, a car came and took the woman away.
