“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): The month of May is Stroke Awareness Month. Mary Ann Cashier, American Heart Association advocate, and Pastor Ernest Ellis, stroke survivor, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the signs and symptoms of stroke, give statistical data for the Valley and give advice on what to do in case of a stroke.

Next, Cossell Burton of the Youngstown Branch of the NAACP will discuss the annual youth empowerment day and luncheon, a free event encouraging youth to make wise choices.

“Increase the Peace” (today at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on MyYTV): Show host Andrea Mahone will welcome Mikki Jones and Shalayah Sanders, who will be discussing the inaugural Women Empowerment Spring Gala sponsored by That Chick. That Chick is a new and upcoming women’s apparel clothing line from Youngstown.

“Conversation with Dee” (Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on WKBN-TV): Show host Dee Crawford will welcome Mark Samuel of Neighborhood Ministries, who will be discussing the group’s mission, summer food service program and its Weekend Backpack program.

The high-quality juried show is under new management this year. Works must be original and created by the vendor.
