No Valley players selected in NFL draft

For the first time since 2010, the Mahoning Valley did not have a player selected in the NFL draft.

Hubbard High graduate Kurtis Drummond, a standout safety for Michigan State, was expected to get picked but is now free to sign a free agent contract with the team of his choice. Cardinal Mooney graduates Braylon Heard, a running back for Kentucky, and Ray Vinopal, a safety for Pitt, are also expected to land free agent deals.
