YOUNGSTOWN

A 44-year-old West Side man has been indicted on charges he raped two children, both under age 13.

William L. Toth, 44, of South Portland Avenue, was indicted Thursday by the Mahoning County grand jury; and he could serve life in prison if he’s convicted.

The indictment, which consists of two rape counts, says Toth engaged in sexual conduct with the children between June 1 and Oct. 31, 2003, while one was 8 years old, and the other was 11 and 12 years old.

Toth has been in the county jail since his April 23 arrest in Berlin Center by county sheriff’s deputies on a rape charge from Boardman, which dates back to Aug. 1, 2001.
