A manufacturer of steel and aluminum rolling-mill equipment is expanding after acquiring its fourth manufacturing facility.
On Friday, Warren-based Glunt Industries Inc., 319 N. River Road NW, announced that it acquired the assets of Timken Industrial Services, 1819 N. Main St., from North Canton-based Timken Co.
“The acquisition of Timken Industrial Services – Niles Plant further advances our strategy to expand our capabilities and is a great opportunity for the growth of our company and the development of our local community. With this added turn-key capacity we will become more efficient and have the ability to take on more projects than ever before,” Glunt President and CEO Dennis Glunt said in a statement.
The expansion adds 25 to 30 machinists, welders and production workers to Glunt’s roster for a total of 200 employees with more hires expected as production increases. The company said the new location can accommodate 70 or more employees and allows for more manufacturing capacity.
