A fire consumed the left side of a duplex, 3957 Riley Ave., in Struthers on Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters from Struthers and Campbell responded to the blaze after a neighbor called an alert on the fire just before 12:30 p.m. All occupants were removed safely with no injuries. Due to a shared attic, the rest of the building suffered light smoke damage, Struthers Fire Chief Gary Mudryk said. Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
