Stun gun used to subdue Youngstown man


YOUNGSTOWN — Police used an electronic stun gun on a man with a gun today on the South Side.

Police were called to Hilton Avenue and Southern Boulevard about 3:35 p.m. for a report of a man holding a gun. When he refused to drop it, he was hit with darts from an electronic stun gun, a spokesman said.

Officers did recover a revolver from the man. He was handcuffed and taken to the Mahoning County jail.
