Rich Center for Autism has event Thursday to start Autism Awareness Month

YOUNGSTOWN — The Rich Center for Autism is kicking off Autism Awareness Month on Thursday, World Autism Awareness Day, which has the theme of Light It Up Blue, by urging everyone to wear blue to show their support for those affected by autism.

At 2 p.m., students, staff, families, and community supporters will gather on the northern-most tennis courts behind Fedor Hall for a blue balloon release to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day.

Earlier in the day, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Youngstown State University Scholars and Honors will have an Easter egg hunt for The Rich Center students inside the Rich Center in Fedor Hall on the YSU campus.
