Hubbard Township police have drug-collection unit

HUBBARD — The Hubbard Township Police Department was awarded a grant from CVS Pharmacy last year that enabled the department to install a drug-collection unit that is housed in the police department lobby at 2600 Elmwood Drive Ext.

It is available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays.

The unit is intended to reduce the amount of unneeded medicine in homes and decrease prescription-drug abuse, which has soared in recent years, especially among teens, according to the police department.
