South Range schools grieve for student who died in today's fire
SOUTH RANGE — The 10-year-old victim of the early morning house fire on the city's South Side was a fourth-grade student at South Range Elementary Schools.
“It is a very sad day," said Superintendent Dennis Dunham. "The thoughts and prayers of the entire Raider community go out to the student’s family.”
The school will provide grief counselors at the school today to help students, parents and friends deal with the loss, he said in a statement.
Counselors will also be available tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at the K-12 complex, and again at 7 a.m. on Tuesday .
