Easter Seals’ Angels prepare for fashion show and luncheon

Angels of Easter Seals is planning its 38th Annual Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon for May 7 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center. The program will begin at 10 a.m., and the luncheon will follow at 11:30.

Ellen Tressel will be the special honored guest. This year’s theme is “A New York State of Mind.”

Presenting spring and summer fashions will be Macy’s of Eastwood and Southern Park malls, Chico’s of Boardman, Ivory & Birch and Suzanne’s. The fashion director for the event is Judy Conti.

Featured in the show will be local media personalities, Easter Seals children, Angels and Judy Conti models. Stan Boney of WYTV will be the master of ceremonies. A highlight of the event will occur when Boney and Bianca Severino, a former child ambassador, walk on stage together for the 21st-consecutive year.

Media participants are Todd Franko, Nena Perkins, Barbara Shaffer and Barbara Staples, all of The Vindicator; Bob Black, Eric Wilhelm Mike Case, Lauren Landy, Derek Steyer, Jennifer Brindisi, Jasmine Monroe and Madonna Pinkard, all of 21 WFMJ-TV; Amy Radinovic, Paul Wetzl, Lauren Wood and Nadine Grimley of WKBN; Boney, Katie Dugan, Josh Frketic and Ryan Halicki of WYTV; and A.C. McCullough and Kelly Stevens of Hot 101.

Three excursion-package raffles are new this year. The first is an autumn in New York trip featuring museums, galleries and more; the second is a deluxe spa and salon day including playhouse tickets and dinner; and the third is a Sharif purse and scarf with a $500 gift card.

Prizes in the general raffle include $1,000 cash, $500 cash, jewelry and other prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased from any Angels member. An auction-in-a-bag will feature a variety of gifts and a 50-50 raffle. Angels and Friends cookbooks and gift baskets will be available for sale.
