Exempt from all laws

YOUNGSTOWN

A Warren man who told police he was exempt from all laws in the city of Youngstown was taken into custody early Friday morning on charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business and criminal trespassing.

Reports said police were called to 110 W. Federal St. at about 12:25 a.m. for a report of a man who refused to leave, was harassing customers and had not purchased anything in the two hours he was there. When officers arrived they found John Minogue, 37, who told them he could stay where he was because he had immunity from all of the city’s laws.

After being warned several times he would be arrested if he didn’t leave, officers took him into custody. He tried to walk away when he was cuffed and refused to give his name. He was identified by corrections officers at the Mahoning County jail, who said they have dealt with him before, reports said.
