Today’s entertainment picks:

v Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., 8 p.m.: Smooth vocalist with a knack for classic American standards in concert at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown; 330-259-0555.

v “You Can’t Take It With You,” 7:30 p.m.: The 1930s comedy continues at Youngstown Playhouse; 330-788-8739.

v “Perfect Wedding,” 8 p.m.: The title isn’t exactly true, but it wouldn’t be a slapstick comedy if it were. The play is at Trumbull New Theatre, 5883 Youngstown Road, Niles; 330-652-1103.

v “Sherlock Holmes and the House of Dead Lords,” 7:30 p.m.: The super sleuth solves a fresh caper in this play written by Youngstown’s Dave Wolford at Victorian Players Theater, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-746-5455.

v Tropidelic, 10 p.m.: Cleveland’s reggae-funk champs are back in Youngstown for a record-release show, with opener Vibe & Direct, at Cedars West End, 706 Steel St.; cedarsyoungstown.com.

“NCAA Basketball Tournament” (7 p.m., CBS): Still strapped in? Two more semifinal games take place tonight. Madness, I tell you!

“Hart of Dixie” (8 p.m., The CW): In the Season 4 finale of “Hart of Dixie,” Zoe makes a life- altering decision. Sadly, it probably won’t alter the show’s low ratings.

“Disney Dream Cruise With Food Network” (8 p.m., Food): The channel’s celebs go Mickey Mousing around on the high seas with their families in tow.

“Great Performances” (9 p.m., PBS): Mikhail Baryshnikov hosts this performance of Mark Morris’ “L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato,” which I think translates to, “Please use this allergy medication in moderation.”

“Bride By Design” (9 p.m., TLC): Get ready for more brides, more dresses and (probably) more conflict in this new reality series.

WYSU fund drive hits halfway mark

YOUNGSTOWN

After 10 days into the silent part of its spring fund drive, radio station WYSU-FM is more than halfway to its goal of raising $130,000.

Gary Sexton, director of broadcasting, said Wednesday the drive has reached $67,000.

“We are attempting to raise critical programming funds without interrupting the programs those funds help us purchase, giving listeners more days of what they give for,” he said.

The on-air fund drive is scheduled to begin April 11.

To encourage early pledging, the station is offering prizes at the end of each “soft” drive week, and a grand prize of an 11-day trip to the Pacific Northwest for two.

To donate, go to wysu.org or call 330-941-1481.
