MCCTC, Choffin students test firefighting skills in Canfield this morning

CANFIELD — Students in the firefighter classes at Choffin and Mahoning County career and technical centers are testing what they've learned all year by battling a blaze in a controlled burn this morning.

The fire will be in a container behind the Canfield center on North Palmyra Road.

The exercise will simulate a house fire, in case you see smoke in that region.
