Salem bridge-deck replacement project begins April 2

SALEM— Work is expected to begin April 2 on the West State Street bridge-deck replacement project, says the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers until late June when the structure will be closed until late November. The road is expected to be closed and traffic detoured for 140 days total.

ODOT’s contractor for this $3 million project is Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co., Youngstown, and the completion date is June 2016.
