Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. A lemon-butter baked fish with macaroni and cheese option has been added to the menu for Lent. The cost is $7.50. No reservations are necessary. Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., Canfield, will host a Lenten breakfast. The free meal is set for 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. each Wednesday during Lent. Donations will be accepted.

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, is selling cavatelli dinners from 3 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $9; a smaller portion is $5. The church also will have homemade pasta fagioli for $6 a quart and pasta sauce for $5 a quart. Place an order and remain in the car for someone to deliver the dinners.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will offer Lenten service opportunities at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Church women will provide a light lunch of soup, bread, beverage and dessert after the 12:30 p.m. Wednesday services. A freewill offering will be taken. Takeout is available for $6 per quart of soup. Today the soup is stuffed pepper.

THURSDAY

Church of Jesus Christ, 185 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host a drive-through sale of kolachi nut rolls for $10 each from 4 to 7 p.m. today and Friday.

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will serve homemade chicken dinners to go from 3:30 p.m. until supplies runs out. The cost is $6.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. Meals are priced at $9.50. Chicken and shrimp dinners are available for $8.50, and fish sandwiches are $6.50.

Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will be serving a Lenten fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall in the lodge. Proceeds will benefit the Argus Lodge charities. Tickets at the door are $12 for adults and $5 for kids 9 and under. Carryout is available by calling 330-533-3077.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The cost is $11.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. A limited supply of frozen pirogi will be available. This will be the last sale until April 17.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve Lenten fish dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. Prices are $9 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12 and free for kids under 4. Carryouts are available.

No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is the last sale before Easter.

Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road SE, will sponsor an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.

St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 1 Lucymont Drive, New Castle, Pa., will have a Lenten fish fry from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parish hall. Meals are sit-down or takeout. A baked or fried fish sandwich is $8, baked or fried dinner with two sides is $10, a shrimp basket with two sides is $10, and a child’s dinner with one side is $5. Beaver Ruritan Club will sponsor an all-you-can-eat fish fry at the South Range School cafeteria, 11300 Columbiana-Canfield Road. Hours for carryout are 2:30 to 7 p.m., and family style serving will be available from 3 to 7 p.m. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children 11 and under. Buy tickets in advance from any Beaver Ruritan member. Tickets also will be sold at the door.

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, is having its annual Swiss steak dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Prices are $10 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Carryouts are available. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the church at 330-758-5745. Proceeds will support Bethel Brotherhood’s ministry and outreach.

Caring Hands Food Ministry will sponsor a benefit creamed chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Negley Fire Department Hall, 50683 Richardson Ave. The meal costs $9 for adults and $4 for children 6 and under. Carryout orders will be available. The event will feature a basket auction of prizes that include a stay at a resort and assorted gift baskets. All proceeds go to feeding the hungry in the community.

Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., will serve carryout creamed chicken on biscuit dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The drive-through pickup is at the back of the church.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will serve a community breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Free clothing will be distributed during the breakfast.

Boy Scout Troop 115 of St. Michael Church, 350 N. Broad St., Canfield, will have its annual all-you-can eat pasta dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The dinner, prepared and served by troop members, costs $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under. Carryouts will be available. Buy tickets from any troop member or at the door. Proceeds help send Scouts to summer camp.

Burton-Middlefield Rotary will serve a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Berkshire High School, 14510 North Cheshire St., Burton. Breakfast is $8 for adults and $5 for children 4 to 10. Customers also will have the chance to purchase omelets. All proceeds will be divided between the community and the fight against polio.

Southington American Legion Post is hosting a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The breakfast will be served at the post home, 3145 Warren-Burton Road. Tickets for the meal are $6.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12; kids under 4 eat free.

St. Angela Merici Parish, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown, will have its fourth annual spaghetti dinner sponsored by the Holy Name Society and Ladies Guild. The dinner will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Prices are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Takeout will be available for $7; containers will be provided. St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 463 Robinson Road, Campbell, will host its annual Palm Sunday spaghetti dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children. The Infant Jesus Guild is sponsoring the meal.

St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, will host a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast with a basket auction from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Prices are $7 for adults, $3 for children and free for kids 6 and under. The auction will follow the breakfast at 11 a.m. sharp. Tickets are 26 for $5, and winners need not be present.
