Vic Boyz member sentenced to 10 years in prison


YOUNGSTOWN — The last member of the Vic Boyz street gang to be indicted in 2013 was sentenced to 10 years in prison today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Maureen Sweeney handed down the sentence on drug trafficking, weapons and gang charges to Darrell Mason, who prosecutors said was the leader of the gang.

More than 20 people were in court on Mason's behalf. He was a former standout quarterback at Ursuline High School.
