Ice Zone in Boardman avoids foreclosure

YOUNGSTOWN — The Ice Zone skating rink on McClurg Road in Boardman has avoided foreclosure after its owners came to an agreement PNC Bank.

The federal court ruled in favor of PNC Bank that the owners are in default on the balance of a $2.8 million promissory note. The parties entered into an forbearance and modification agreement, according to a judgment entry filed March 10 in United States District Court Northern District of Ohio.

“The Ice Zone moves forward,” said William A. Weimer, B.J. Alan Co. vice president and general counsel.
