Dog obedience show and rally are planned

Ashtabula Kennel Club will conduct its annual Obedience and Rally show Saturday and Sunday. The venue will provide three competition rings both days and is an official AKC approved, sanctioned and judged event. The show has been moved this year from Ashtabula to North Jackson, where a larger facility is available.

Citywide baby shower, health fair are planned

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Office on Minority Health will host a citywide baby shower from noon to 2 p.m. and a community health fair from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Arlington Heights Recreation Center, 767 Park Ave. Among the features will be food, games, prizes and health screenings for the whole family. At 10 a.m. will be a Stroller Roll around the grounds.

Easter egg hunts to aid Humane Society

COLUMBIANA

Humane Society of Columbiana County invites families and dogs to an Easter egg hunt with a twist at Firestone Park on March 28. The Easter Bunny will be there for photos. Admission cost is $5 per participant for the hunt.

The outdoor event will feature two egg hunts: one for kids at noon one at 1 p.m. just for people and their dogs.

A bake sale will be open and venders will be set up throughout the event from The Bummer Fund, For the Love of Dogs, The Learning Dog, The Pet Angel, Tim Horton’s, Stephanie’s Cake and Confections and more. Bo’s Pet Shoppe is sponsoring the hunt.

Dogs must be on a leash and follow park rules at all times including cleanup.

The schedule: 11 a.m., registration; noon, Kids Egg Hunt; 12:30, Demonstration by The Learning Dog; 1 p.m. Dog Egg Hunt; and 1 to 2 p.m., redeeming of tickets and raffle.
