UPDATE | Senior living developer looks elsewhere in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — Part of the potential development by a Pittsburgh senior living developer along state Route 46 for is off the plate.

Ryan Fisher, vice president of the commercial real estate company Colliers International Cleveland office, said today the developer he represents wishing to build an independent living center near Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course has moved on from that location.

The land did not have the zoning specifications the developer needed for the independent living center.

Darren Crivelli, township zoning inspector, said he gave the developer other options to look at in the township that would be compatible with the project.

The developer, who Fisher would not name, is still interested in other land in Austintown.

“We are looking all over Austintown,” Fisher said. “We would love to be there.”
