No injuries in South Side fire that caused $1,100 damage

YOUNGSTOWN — A fire department spokesman said a blaze at an Idlewood Avenue home early this morning caused about $1,100 in damage.

Capt. Alvin Ware of the Fire Investigation Unit said it was either a space heater or careless smoking that caused a fire to break out about 8 a.m. at 2717 Idlewood Ave. Ware said no one was injured.
