Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God, video class: Law and the Constitution and senior spinning at 9, Piloxing, bingo, painting, quilting and beginner computer class at 10, lunch and advanced computer class at noon and calligraphy class at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., video class: Ancient Technology at 9, bingo and quilting at 10, line dancing at 10:30, chair yoga and Windows computer class at 11:30, lunch at noon, candle meditation class at 12:30 p.m., monthly seminar: credit card savvy and AARP choir practice at 1; Wednesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., travelogue: Ancient Cities at 9, SOS at 9:30, senior spinning at 10:30, Zumba at 11, discussion group and $3 pizza party at noon and DAV at 7 p.m.; Thursday, active exercise at 8 a.m., wood carving and travelogue: Ancient Cities at 9, SOS at 9:30, chair yoga, vets helping vets, quilting and crocheting at 10, video class on natural healing at 10:30, knitting at 11, and lunch, bingo and monthly birthday party at noon; and Friday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God and video class on Skeptics American History at 9, bingo and senior spinning at 10, chair burlesque at 11 and trip to local wineries at 11:30. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of the Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors, such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects.
