Minority physicians will be meeting topic

Mahoning Valley Cancer Coalition will sponsor a Town Hall Meeting from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 11 at the Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St.

The program topic is “The Minority Physicians of Youngstown.” The meeting is open to the public, and breakfast is included.

Salem Public Library’s Getting Crafty participants will create a bookmark smorgasbord at the 6:30 p.m. April 13 class for adults in the Quaker Room, 821 E. State St.

All materials will be provided. Registration is needed online at the library’s website, www.salem.lib.oh.us.

Cake frosting program is planned at library

Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will host “The Art of Frosting,” presented by Kathy Reash, owner of Sweet Temptations Bakery, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 30 in the library’s Quaker Room.

Reash will show how frosting can be used to create art in baking. She will demonstrate ways to decorate a cake, including painting with frosting.

Mancini will sign ‘Good Son’ DVDs

The Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini Foundation will host a DVD signing of the film “The Good Son” for the first 250 ticketholders from 5 to 9 p.m. April 16 at Barnes & Noble, 381 Boardman-Poland Road.

Donations sought for scholarship fund

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1958 will award a $1,000 scholarship to a June 2015 graduating senior.

Members of the class of 1958 who would like to donate to the scholarship fund, created by the late John Kovach, should make checks payable to Campbell Memorial Class of 1958 and mail them to Judy Ross Patelis, 622 Matawan Drive, Campbell, OH 44405.
