Luncheon will celebrate International Red Hat Day

For the ninth year, String of Pearls chapter of the Red Hat Society will celebrate International Red Hat Day with a luncheon.

The event will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m. April 15 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel social hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel. Red Hatters and Pink Hatters are asked to attend dressed in regalia.

Featured will be a Hattitude Stroll contest in which hats are judged in three categories: casual, dress and most original. A monetary gift will be given to the winner in each category.

The Calypso Gypsies will entertain, and there will be a basket and a 50-50 raffle, along with door prizes. Vendors will be selling Red Hat attire.

The luncheon cost is $30 per person, and tables of eight can be reserved. The deadline for reservations is April 6. To make reservations call Erma Hart at 330-759-9331 or email her at harte41@aol.com.

The Red Hat Society is a group of women that connects, supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment and fitness.
