Drug charges

WARREN

A Warren man faces charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of chemicals to manufacture, manufacturing and drug possession.

Todd Matthew Cerny, 32, was taken into custody Thursday at his Austin Avenue Southwest home after a monthlong investigation, according to a news release from the Trumbull-Ashtabula-Geauga Task Force.

Cerny tried to flee through an upstairs door to the roof but encountered law enforcement, the task force said. Authorities said they found several items in the home that could be used to make meth.

Cerny is in the Trumbull County Jail and is due back in Warren Municipal Court on Thursday.
