“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): The Youngstown Office on Minority Health is launching a citywide health fair that includes a baby shower for new and expectant mothers. Erin Bishop, health commissioner, and Leigh Greene, director, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the new event and how the community can participate.

Next, Dr. Patrick O’Leary of Youngstown State University and Camille Stanford of Community Development Institute will discuss another year of “Kindergarten Here I Come,” a program designed to help parents prepare and plan for the registration of their children in kindergarten.

Youngstown Executive 408 Toastmasters Club members Ed Haller and Mark Williams both took first place at the Area 10 and Area 13 Joint Contest, which took place Feb. 26 in Kent. Haller, of Warren, won the International Speech Contest. Williams, of Youngstown, won the Evaluation Contest. Both advanced to the Central Division Contest on Monday in Twinsburg.
