City police arrest woman for pot, pills on Tyrell Avenue

YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a bag of marijuana and 20 narcotic pills in a car while serving a search warrant at a West Side apartment at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Reports said officers were serving a warrant at an apartment in the 2600 block of Tyrell Avenue to search the home and car of Stephanie Rodriguez, 25. Reports said Rodriguez was leaving when she was stopped by police.

The drugs were found in her purse, reports said. She was arrested on two counts of possession of drugs and taken to the Mahoning County jail, reports said.

Reports did not say why the warrant was served at her home.
