Warren man arraigned on robbery charge

WARREN — Anthony Dukes Jr., 28, of Brier Street Southeast and Lancaster, Ohio, is in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond after his arraignment today on a robbery charge.

Police arrested him Wednesday afternoon on a warrant.

A not-guilty plea was entered in Warren Municipal Court to a charge accusing Dukes of being one of three men who robbed and beat a man March 12 at the Pit Stop gas station, 1708 Youngstown Road.

When police arrived, a 34-year-old Niles man had a bloody nose and swollen eye. He said three men confronted him in the store, hitting him in the head and back and taking his wallet.
