Former port authority executive director dies at 60

YOUNGSTOWN — Rose Ann (Jersan) DeLeon, former executive director of the Western Reserve Port Authority, died over the weekend.

DeLeon, 60, of the Cleveland area, was hired to operate the port authority’s new economic-development office in 2009 and stayed in that position until early 2014, when she left because of illness.

She had been off work for several months in 2012 while battling cancer.
