Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. A lemon-butter baked fish with macaroni and cheese option has been added to the menu for Lent. The cost is $7.50. No reservations are necessary. Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., Canfield, will host a Lenten breakfast. The free meal is set for 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. each Wednesday during Lent. Donations will be accepted.
Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., Youngstown, will serve a free community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The meal consists of scalloped potatoes, ham, corn, salad, dessert and beverages.
Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will offer Lenten service opportunities at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Church women will provide a light lunch of soup, bread, beverage and dessert after the 12:30 p.m. Wednesday services. A free will offering will be taken. Takeout is available for $6 per quart of soup. Today the soup is chicken noodle.
Pricetown Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will serve a home-cooked supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The meal will feature meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable, super salad, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for kids. Carryouts will be available.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, at the corner of Kirk Road and state Route 46, Austintown, will serve Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The supper is a free community outreach of the church and is open to all. Donations are accepted to continue the program.
Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, at the corner of Market Street, Boardman, will host the takeout only sale of beef tips and noodles dinners from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Meals of Angus beef tips, homestyle noodles, corn, roll with butter and a homemade cookie cost $8. Drive up to the back door, place an order and it will be taken to your car. Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall in the lodge, open to the public. Proceeds will benefit Argus Lodge charities. Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski; and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11.
Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Phone orders may begin at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. A limited supply of frozen pirogi will be available.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will sponsor Lenten fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 4 and younger. St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will sponsor a fish fry from 3 to 7 p.m. weekly during Lent. Most dinners, including jumbo haddock, are $10. A tuna dinner is $13. They include one side of pirogi, french fries, mac and cheese or majadra (lentils, rice and caramelized onion) plus coleslaw, roll and dessert.
St. Nicholas Mom’s and Dad’s Club will have a fish fry weekly during Lent from 4 to 7 p.m. in the St. Nicholas Great Hall, 766 Fifth St., Struthers. Choose baked or fried haddock with macaroni and cheese, french fries or homemade haluski. The meal is $10 for adults, $6 for children 6 to 12 $6 and free for kids 5 and under. Takeouts are available.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. The final sale before Easter will be March 27. St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 1 Lucymont Drive, New Castle, Pa., will have Lenten fish fries, eat in or takeout, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, except for Good Friday, in the parish hall. A baked or fried fish sandwich is $8, baked or fried dinner with two sides is $10, a shrimp basket with two sides is $10, and a child’s dinner with one side is $5. Austintown Kiwanis Club will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Austintown Community Church, 242 S. Canfield-Niles Road. The meal will include sausage, scrambled eggs, orange juice, coffee and tea. The prices are $6 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12, and free for 4 and under. Tickets are available from members and at the door. Proceeds benefit the youth of Austintown.
Western Reserve Masonic Lodge, 216 E. Main St., Route 88, West Farmington, will serve spaghetti and meatball dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Western Reserve Masonic Lodge. Burton-Middlefield Rotary will be flipping pancakes from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Berkshire High School, 14510 N. Cheshire St., Burton. Breakfast is $8 for adults and $5 for children 4 to 10. Omelets will be available for purchase. Proceeds will be divided between the community and the fight against polio.
Christ Our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sponsor a stuffed cabbage dinner from noon to 4 p.m. in the parish hall. Prices are $9 for adults and $5 for children. Those who want takeouts should take their own containers.

Meridian Road, will sponsor a pasta dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. in Antioch Hall with proceeds to benefit a parishioner, Dave Simon, who was seriously injured in an automobile accident Dec. 17, 2014. First Presbyterian Church of Girard will sell 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls, potato soup, chicken noodle soup, bread and homemade sticky buns Saturday. Pepperoni rolls are $8 each, soup is $5 a quart and $3 a pint, bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 for a small loaf and sticky buns are four for $2.50. To order call 330-647-7515.
