Delta sorority will present its annual prayer breakfast

The Youngstown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will host its second annual prayer breakfast Saturday at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 9. Tickets cost $25. They may be bought from any member or by emailing Sherri Lovelace-Cameron at srlovela@cc.ysu.edu.

The theme for the event is Walking in God’s Favor, Psalms 5:12. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Sandra Miles, a lifelong Youngstown resident, who will share her music ministry and anointed word.

The breakfast is an opportunity to worship God and raise money for community service programs mandated by the sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust, including scholarships, voter education, mental and physical health, nutrition and international awareness.

The Deltas president is Dr. Michelle McCollin, and the first vice president is Quiana Faison.
