Campbell man arrested on rape charge

CAMPBELL — Michael Claytor, 61, of Campbell was arrested Tuesday on two first-degree felony charges of rape, and a third-degree felony charge of sexual battery.

Claytor is accused of raping a 29-year-old woman on Nov. 22, 2014. The victim reported the incident to police the next day.

The report states the victim was walking home when she met a “friend,” whose name she did not know, who invited her to come over to his home, 280 Jackson St., to watch a football game.

After watching the game, the friend threatened to kill her and her family if she did not have sex with him. The victim saw a folding knife opened on the table near him. The victim said she refused three times, which the suspect disregarded before he proceeded to have unprotected sex with her.
