The West Branch Alumni Association will sponsor a community bus to the state semifinal playoff game Friday in Columbus.

The cost is $40 and includes the ticket to the game and round-trip transportation on a Deluxe Motor Coach. Forty riders must be signed up by noon Thursday for the trip to happen.

Call the athletic department at 330-938-4408 before noon Thursday.

The bus will leave from the parking lot in front of the high school auditorium at 10 a.m. Friday and return about 9 p.m.

New agreement

Trumbull County commissioners today plan to place Trumbull County Engineer Randy Smith at the head of the county’s Sanitary Engineering Department, in addition to his elected position as highway engineer.

The agreement calls for Smith to be paid nothing for the first 120 days of the new arrangement, but receive $2,000 per month thereafter. The agreement will remain in effect on a month-to-month basis.
