A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

March 11

Arrest: Officers investigating a vehicular crash on state Route 616 charged 58-year-old Judy A. Tsvetanoff of Prospect Street, Struthers, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Assault: A Clovermeade Avenue woman reported having been assaulted and was injured.

March 15

Drugs: Police answered a criminal-trespassing call in the 1700 block of Bedford Road, where they reportedly seized a glass pipe for drug use and other suspected drug paraphernalia. No arrests had been made at the time of the report, however.

BOARDMAN

March 11

Assault: A South Schenley Avenue woman told police her 12-year-old daughter was pushed to the ground, punched and kicked as she walked to a school bus in the 7400 block of Market Street.

Bad check: An employee with a Boardman veterinarian’s office reported receiving a $550 check that had been drawn on a closed account.

Theft: A worker for a Market Street business discovered her $900 iPhone missing.

Possible theft: A dealer license plate was lost or stolen off a vehicle at a Market Street dealership.

Theft: Marlo M. Burney, 47, of Kendis Circle, Youngstown, was charged in the theft of 10 articles of clothing valued at $104 from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.

Citation: A traffic stop near Glendale Avenue resulted in a citation charging Vikki R. Maguire, 43, of Bonnie Place, Boardman, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Drug paraphernalia: A vehicle check on South Avenue led to Jerry L. Womack’s arrest on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Womack, 30, of Oak Street, Youngstown, had a digital scale on which was a white powder, a report stated.

Theft: A worker for a Market Street doctor’s office noticed $460 missing from her purse while at work.

Theft: Police charged Anthony W. Blalock, 31, of Ferncliff Avenue, Boardman, with stealing a package of throat lozenges from Dollar General, 4996 Market St.

Domestic violence: Officers in the 800 block of East Midlothian Boulevard took into custody Michael A. Demarco, 52, of Edison Street, Struthers. He was wanted on a domestic-violence warrant.

March 12

Theft: Authorities charged Warren M. Stanley after alleging Stanley, 35, of Charlotte Avenue, Youngstown, had stolen $97 worth of merchandise, including a Sony PlayStation 3 system, from Walmart.

Citation: While responding to a suspicious car in the 2000 block of Wolosyn Circle, police handed Santie D. Lofaro, 29, of Westchester Drive, Austintown, a citation charging him with operating a vehicle impaired.

Criminal damaging: A driver struck and damaged a mailbox in the 600 block of Angiline Drive.

Theft: Three women reportedly stole $867 worth of clothing and other items from Victoria Secret Pink in Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Savannah S. Bodner, 19, of South Schenley Avenue, Youngstown, and Brandie M. Troiano, 21, of Fountain Square Drive, Austintown, were charged in the theft of about $152 worth of women’s and children’s clothing from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Menacing: A Turnberry Drive woman said her daughter, 15, had received a text message in which the teen was threatened with harm.

Arrest: Marisha D. Robinson of East Avondale Avenue, Youngstown, was arrested after having been pulled over near South Avenue. Robinson, 25, was wanted on a Lawrence County, Pa., warrant.

Harassment: A Homestead Drive woman said she received such a Facebook message related to the custody of a child.

Theft: A Struthers man at a Boardman-Canfield Road fitness center realized his $600 cellphone was missing.

Citation: Taylor Skinner, who listed addresses on Holly Drive in Girard and Maryland Avenue Northwest in Warren, was given a minor-misdemeanor citation during a traffic stop on East Midlothian Boulevard. The 22-year-old Skinner had two small bags of suspected marijuana, police said.

Theft: A 20-foot section of copper downspouting was removed from a building in the 3900 block of Sunset Boulevard.

March 13

Assault: A 14-year-old Boardman boy faced a simple-assault charge after a fight between two students at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave. The teen was captured on video punching the victim, who complained of minor shoulder pain, a police report stated.

Drugs: While responding to a possible burglary at a South Avenue residence, officers charged Colin F. Larouere, 32, of South Avenue, Boardman, with possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia. A hypodermic needle, a spoon with burn marks common in drug use and a powdery substance were found in the apartment, police alleged.

Menacing: The Ohio State Highway Patrol handed to township police Justin B. Moffett, 33, of Atlantic Street, Warren. He was charged with menacing, in relation to an argument May 5, 2014, in which a Southern Boulevard man reported having been shoved and struck.

Identity fraud: An East Parkside Drive woman discovered someone without authorization had electronically filed an income-tax form using her name.

Identity theft: A Squirrel Hill Drive man found out someone had tried to use his credit-card number to make a $2,172. 50 purchase in New York City.

Auto theft: A 2005 Buick Rendezvous vehicle was stolen while being serviced at a Market Street dealership.

Theft: A woman noticed her wallet missing while at a Boardman-Poland Road store.

Theft: A woman reported a FedEx package containing a $61 dress missing from her Brookwood Road apartment.

March 14

Auto theft: A 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was stolen at Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A woman reportedly rented but failed to return 20 wooden folding chairs to Rental Corral, 4627 Market St.

Theft: A Market Street woman reported her wallet had been taken from her purse in her car.

Menacing: The owner of an East Midlothian Boulevard business told officers an irate customer threatened him after the accuser had refused to replace a broken cellphone free of charge.

Drugs: Acting on a tip, authorities at a U.S. Route 224 restaurant arrested James A. Tinsley, 34, of Main Street, Campbell, who was wanted on two felony counts of cocaine possession as well as on felony warrants charging him with being a convicted felon with a firearm and improper handling of a firearm. Tinsley had a bag with 2 grams of suspected marijuana; also found was a paper bag with two smaller bags, each of which contained roughly 30 grams of a powder that tested positive for cocaine, a report showed.

Harassment: A woman said her husband sent at least 14 unwanted text messages while she was in the 8000 block of South Avenue.

Theft: Derrek C. Binion, 38, and Cheryl L. Rose, 45, both of West Middletown Road, Columbiana, were charged with theft and complicity to theft, respectively. Binion was accused of grabbing an undisclosed sum of money from a register at Chinatown, 8600 Glenwood Ave.

Domestic violence: Michael A. Rosa, 27, of Sciota Avenue, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his brother alleged an intoxicated Rosa had punched his left eye area during an argument related to family matters.

Theft: A man reportedly fled in a black truck after stealing four coats from Dick’s Sporting Goods, 550 Boardman-Poland Road.

March 15

Assault/aggravated menacing: Police responded to a fight on Hillman Way, where a woman reported having been struck in the legs and a man said he had been threatened with a knife.

Arrest: Officers answering an unwanted-person complaint at a Market Street motel took into custody Oscar Q. Dahn Jr. of Waverly Avenue, Youngstown, who was wanted on a Trumbull County warrant. The 34-year-old man also was charged with obstructing official business when, police said, he provided a false name and date of birth.

Aggravated menacing: A Columbiana woman at a Doral Drive big-box store told officers a man threatened to harm her after she had pulled into a parking space ahead of him.

Domestic violence: A township boy, 17, was accused of grabbing his sister and tossing her to the ground during an argument, causing the accuser to twist her right ankle.

Theft: Two men stole $200 worth of ear pieces from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen while in a Market Street drug store.

Burglary: To a residence in the 30 block of Woodview Avenue after someone apparently walked in through the front door. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Theft: Police charged Teresa M. Johnson, 18, of Kiwana Drive, Boardman, and 19-year-old Brooke L. Belus of Thalia Avenue, Youngstown, with stealing $91 worth of undergarments from the J.C. Penney store in Southern Park Mall.

March 16

Drugs: Authorities responding to an alarm at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant arrested Jermaine L. McKnight, 35, of Broadway Avenue, Wheatland, Pa., on drug-abuse charges. McKnight had two bags of suspected marijuana and a bag containing 35 over-the-counter pills, a report showed.

Harassment: A Cook Avenue woman reported a former friend had sent her such text messages.
