Kiwanis will host Tribe Preview

When the Youngstown Kiwanis Club meets for lunch at noon Friday at the Downtown YMCA, Bob DiBiasio, senior vice president public affairs of the Cleveland Indians, will present his Annual Tribe Preview as the Indians begin their quest for the American League pennant and beyond.

DiBiasio is entering his 36th season with the Indians and his 37th in Major League Baseball.

The Lakewood, Ohio, native also is host of the Indians Alumni Roundtable Show on FOX Sports/SportsTime Ohio.

Church will host indoor flea market

WARREN

Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., will host an indoor flea market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

There are 14 individual vendors selling Avon, books, jewelry, household items, Scentsy products, antiques, some furniture and more.

There also will be food available.

Proceeds from table rentals and items bought at the Christian Ed and Choir tables will benefit the children’s programs and provide new music for the choir.

Library schedules a poetry cafe

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Friends of the Leetonia Community Public Library will present a poetry cafe from 6 to 8 p.m. April 14 at the library, 181 Walnut St.

Share your favorite poems or some original ones; any style is welcome.

For $1 you will receive a hot beverage and cookies.
