BREAKING NEWS | Huey Lewis concert sold out, but limited-view seats available

WARREN — The July 14 concert by Huey Lewis and the News at W.D. Packard Music Hall is sold out.

The promoter says it might be the fastest sell-out ever at the 1,900-seat facility. Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and were gone by Saturday morning, although some single seats that are trapped in mid-row remain available.

The concert marks the sixth sell-out in four months at Packard, according to JAC Management, which took over operation of the hall in September.

The sell-outs were Counting Crows in December, two Blue Man Group shows in January, plus “Stomp” and “Brit Floyd” in February.

“It’s an exciting culmination to a very successful few months,” said Eric Ryan, president of JAC Management.

A small quantity of limited-view seats have been released for purchase to Huey Lewis to help meet the demand. The seats will also be sold at future high-demand shows, as warranted, according to JAC.

“The seats located on the side balconies closest to the stage are difficult to gauge because the view changes with each show,” said Jim Bugos, general manager of Packard. “These seats sometimes may have limited view of the entire stage, and other times may be a perfect seat with no issue at all. There is no way of guaranteeing the view from these seats until production load-in on the day of the show.

"Therefore, we have decided to designate these seats as ‘limited view’ because the entire depth of the stage, band members or video screen may not always be visible.”
