Learn how to prune your trees and shrubs

MERCER, PA.

The Penn State Master Gardeners of Mercer County will present a free tree- and shrub-pruning demonstration from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mercer County Penn State Extension office, 463 N. Perry Highway. Experts also will take questions until 4 p.m.

Participants will learn how to choose the right tools, when to prune and why, what to remove and to keep and more. It is an outdoor class, so dress for the weather.
