The Homebuilders & Remodelers Association of the Valley will host its Happy Hour Mixer at V2 Wine Bar Trattoria, 100 W. Federal St., downtown, from 5 to 7 p.m. March 25.

Transamerica plans networking event

Transamerica Financial Advisors Inc. will host its Wine, Women & Wealth networking event at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St. downtown, at 6:30 p.m. April 1.

There will be a 20-minute presentation for women who attend the event. Deanna Marchionda, branch office manager of Transamerica, will be the featured speaker.

Attendees are to bring business cards and a sample of their work.

There is an opportunity for attendees to give a minute commercial about their businesses with the donation of a product, service, gift certificate or a bottle of wine to be raffled.

Seminar to target cybersecurity issue

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host a seminar on cybersecurity and data breaches at the ITT Technical Institute, 1030 Meridian Road, from 11 a.m. to noon April 14.

Jim Klingensmith, senior vice president, and producer Mercy Komar, both from L. Calvin Jones & Co., will talk about security, preparedness and insurance coverage needed for any business.

Info on workforce drug testing

The Mahoning Valley Safety Council and Kim DiPillo, workforce compliance consultant for On Demand Drug Testing, will instruct members of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber about the Omega Laboratories and eScreen at Ciminero’s Banquet Center, 123 Main St., from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15.

3-D workshop is set for Columbus

The America Makes consortium and the American Foundry Society are sponsoring a free workshop next month.

Known as “Printing Your Future in 3-D,” the workshop focuses on additive manufacturing at the Great Columbus Convention Center, 400 N High St., from 1 to 4:30 p.m. April 20.
