Music, art fest features 15 bands

NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va.
The inaugural Montani Semper Liberi Music and Art Festival will take place next Saturday at Oak Glen High School, 195 Golden Bear Drive.
It will include a fair and two concert sessions, each featuring several regional and nationally known jazz, Appalachian and Americana acts.
The fair will be in the Commons area of the facility and will include artists, authors, crafters and vendors displaying and selling a variety of goods.
It will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end that evening when the last vendor closes. Admission is free.
The two concerts will take place in the theater, with four main-stage and three side-stage performances at each.
The first will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature the Henry Mancini Arts Academy Jazz Ensemble, Dog & Gun, the Jakob’s Ferry Stragglers, Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion, Bob Walker, Bill Crawford and Eli Murphy.
The second concert will begin at 4:45 p.m. and include Mo’ Mojo, the Corey Harris Band, the David Mayfield Parade, Birds of Chicago, Nikyah Beckwith, Luis Neer and Savanah Bailey.
Passes for each concert are $20 ($15 for students and seniors). Advance-sale full day passes are $35 ($25 for students and seniors).
There will also be live music in the Commons area during the intermission between concerts, which will add up to 12-consecutive hours of music.
