Local man wins chance at $1 million

For Ernest T. of Austintown, a $5,000 grand prize is just the beginning. By winning the Marquee Millionaire qualifying tournament at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Raceway, Ernest also won a three-day trip to Las Vegas, Nev. and a chance to compete for the $1 million top Marquee Millionaire prize.

“I was shocked and excited. My jaw dropped!” Ernest said. The qualifying event took place on his birthday.

Ernest became the qualifying tournament winner by accumulating the most points during Hollywood Gaming’s Marquee Millionaire Tournament Week beginning Feb. 22 and ending Feb. 28. That earned him the top local prize of $5,000 in cash and automatically qualified him to advance in the national tournament, to take place at the M Resort and Spa in Las Vegas from April 30 through May 3. The Marquee Millionaire tournament – like most special promotions at Hollywood Gaming - was open to any member of Marquee Rewards.

Marquee Rewards membership is free and available to anyone age 21 and older with a valid government ID.
