Home Savings has bake sales today and Saturday to benefit animal-assistance groups

YOUNGSTOWN — Participating Home Savings branch locations will host bake sales to benefit local animal-assistance organizations today and Saturday.

All proceeds from the bake sales will go to those organizations selected by the branches. This effort is a way of saying thanks and to help give back in the community.

More than $16,000 was raised last year, and the bank is anticipating profits to exceed $18,000 this year with even more offices participating.
