COUNCILS

Youngstown Section of the National Council of Negro Women will have its monthly meeting Saturday at the McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road. The executive board meets at noon and the general meeting begins at 1 p.m. NCNW also will host a luncheon to honor the senior members of the Youngstown Section from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 21 at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. GROUPS

That Quilt Group I Belong To will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. The facility will be available from 1 to 5 p.m. for those wishing to work on charity quilts. Doors will reopen at 6:30 p.m. for the regular meeting. The topic of the meeting will be “UFO Challenge.” Those who pledged to complete an unfinished project will take the finished project to display. Also, those who attended the Northeast Ohio Regional Quilt Council convention are asked to take their projects to display.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Poland Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. April 7. Youngstown Chapter of International Torch Clubs will have its dinner-discussion meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in Kilcawley Center, Bresnahan Rooms I & II, on the campus of Youngstown State University. World War II Heritage Society will meet Monday and feature William Basista of Austintown, who will talk about his World War II experience.
