Youngstown man faces resisting arrest and criminal damaging charges


YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a gun and arrested a man after a fight on the West Side about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Reports said police were called to a South Osborn Avenue home for a fight with a gun, and when they arrived, they found a large crowd in the yard and a gun in the driveway.

Reports said a man told police he was attacked by George Huston, 18, attacked him over $10 Hutson claimed the victim owed him.

Reports said Huston hit a truck in the drive with a tool when he didn’t get the money, then rushed onto the porch and began fighting the victim on the porch. Huston grabbed the gun and threw it in the street, reports said.

Huston was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and criminal damaging and taken to the Mahoning County jail.
